+ Just like pretty much all the other reviews say, this is a local restaurant and very simple, mostly visited by people from the area. Buzanada really isn't an amazing place to visit, but if you're passing by I highly recommend that you have a meal (or a snack) at Arepera Los Rodríguez. + Food was tasty and the staff is super kind. You have to try the Arepas with Carne Mechada. We speak Spanish so we had no trouble ordering, but be aware it might not be so simple if you only speak English. You can always show pictures of what you want to try and you'll be fine.

I don't think many foreigners end up this far but if you are one and you're reading this, don't miss the chance to try this place. Fast, cheap and tasty. Their speciality are pulled pork "arepas" (similar to pitta bread but deep fried and made with corn flour) or baguettes. Other fillings available to choose from as well as vegetarian options. If you never tried arepas this is THE PLACE. Arepas are traditionally from Colombia and Venezuela and thanks to our ancestors that emigrated decades ago, it is broadly eaten in the Canaries nowadays too. Forget about mc donals, BK or KFC and try this place, you won't be disappointed.

They don't speak English but it is a hidden gem. Very well known by locals, have been here decades under the same management (family owned). Their arepas are very good, as well as their fruit juices/shakes. They cook a variety of local dishes and their service is fast and efficient. If you want to try your Spanish language skills you should give it a go.
